Hello coaches,
My name is Ben Voellmicke and I am a goalkeeper who will be entering college in the fall of 2025. I play ECNL club soccer for CFC United in CT, and varsity high school soccer for Ridgefield High School in CT.
I am a complete goalkeeper (shot stopping, control of the box & distribution/foot skills) who strives to continually develop and improve myself to succeed at the college level. I am always ready to listen and learn as I continue to develop, and I thrive in competitive and intense training and game environments.
I am 6’5” tall, and work hard on my overall fitness, strength and conditioning to maximize my size advantage for performance in goal. I use my physical attributes to dominate the box and make a wide range of saves post to post. I utilize my tactical knowledge and awareness to prevent goal scoring opportunities. I am always engaged with communication and leadership throughout training and games.
I also play basketball at the varsity high school level and continue to benefit from this cross training as it contributes meaningfully to the development of many aspects of my goalkeeping.
As an Advanced Placement and honors high school student, I take my academics seriously and I maintain a 3.91 overall grade point average. My college educational interests include architecture and finance. The objective for my college experience is to combine rigorous academics with high level competitive soccer.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile and videos and I look forward to speaking with you.
