Ayden Gardner '25 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal is to play soccer at a high level and fulfill my goal of graduating with a degree which is connected to sports or the hospitality industry. I have been playing team soccer since I was 4 years old, and have great knowledge on all aspects and what make teams successful. During my junior boarding school years I played basketball, baseball and ice hockey which initially I didn't know how to skate. I worked my way to become captain of the thirds ice-hockey team, determination and dedication I will bring to your team. But soccer is embedded in my DNA and to be successful in the game it is important to make teammates just as successful as yourself and my team mates throughout the years will collaborate my words of me being a team player. My soccer attributes are speed and ball skill which makes me very difficult to defend, my dominant left foot is very precise in passing and I have the ability to release a powerful shot.

One thing that makes me different from other recruits is my style of play, I can play different roles for the team. I am known for my character both in and out of the changing room, I connect with most people and people find me polite and a character that you want to be around. I believe in myself and academically I may not be the top student in the class, but I work very hard and always ensure that I do my best in the classroom as I do on the field.
