I have been playing soccer since I was seven-years-old, about ten years now. I have played in a travel academy, select premier league and for my high school varsity team as a freshman when I lived in California. I moved to Connecticut about two years ago and have been playing varsity soccer with my current high school.
I am the captain for my high school soccer team. My speed has allowed me to play the forward position because I am able to outrun and have the strength to shoot the ball into the goal. This season (Fall 2020) I have been fortunate enough to play and have successfully made sixteen goals for my team.
I believe I am a good candidate for your team because I am an offensive player who has the mindset of wanting the best for myself as well as the team. I consider myself disciplined, focused and determined to work hard to perfect any skill or kick. In game, it is extremely important to maintain possession of the ball and score goals. I consider myself a team player who will look for ways to advance the ball, create space for my teammates and myself.
In school, I strive to maintain a high GPA. My current GPA is a 3.6. I also host The Gilbert Asks Show which allows me to ask random questions to students about random things. My plan is to attend a four-year university in hopes to accomplish a degree in broadcasting.
I am ready to take the next step in continuing to play soccer at a collegiate level.
