Albert Jorba-Mercader '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Albert Jorba-Mercader. Both of my parents are Spanish-Catalan immigrants so we don't know much about collegiate athletics. I would like to attend a competitive and academically strong school. I have a 3.95 GPA and have taken 6 IB and AP classes going into my senior year. I have experience working in a computer repair shop as an apprentice and I also play piano and even won an "Award in Excellence" for a regional competition.

I am a good candidate for a team because I am extremely coachable as I pick up on corrections quickly, am 6"3, have good technique, have extensive game experience, and good vision. My skill at learning things quickly is very useful tactically and when correcting technique, I am also not afraid to make mistakes as the more I make, the more I learn. 

I love the game of soccer as it runs deep in my blood through my Catalan heritage as my great grand father, and his brother, both played professionally and even played for FC Barcelona.

I'm looking to play for a college where I can be an excellent Student-Athlete as I continue my career in soccer as well as educate myself in what I am interested in. Some fields I am looking at are: Business, IT, Music, and Sports.
