Hello my name is Preston Wright. I am a senior at Edwards County High School in Albion, Illinois and I play club at Indiana Fire Academy South in Evansville, Indiana on the 05/06 National Premier League team. If you look for me on the pitch my number is 28 and play a defensive position, usually left or right back and sometimes center back. I have always loved playing soccer and have since I was young. I have played many positions, but I have transitioned to defense about four years ago and have been playing there since. I am a very versatile on the pitch and look for ways to make plays. I always knew that I wanted to play college soccer, and love being a part of a team. I have been playing soccer at the club level since sixth grade and soccer every since I could walk. I can take criticism when I am doing something that needs to be changed and I listen to my coaches. I have been told by many coaches that, "I am coachable, and I listen to what they tell me". When other players try to get into my head when I am playing the game, I do not listen. It makes me want to earn the ball and beat them to the ball even more. I am there to play the game and do my best. I have a goal of becoming an athletic trainer because I like to help others and I just love being involved in sports.
