“It’s not whether you get knocked down; it’s whether you get back up” - This quote by Vince Lombardi is something that I will live by forever and utilize for every curveball thrown my way. I can say this now that I've overcome being sidelined by an injury and forced to sit out the past five months from the game I love most. I've worked extremely hard to recover from an extremely successful surgery that repaired two torn ligaments in my ankle. I am finally back on the pitch and it feels amazing! Because of this, I believe one of my best attributes is perseverance. There have been many tough losses equal to the success I’ve had in my soccer career. I’ve always wanted to push through, get better and gain mental toughness no matter what the obstacles I may have been faced - not only athletically but academically and socially.
I'm excited to be chosen as a Senior Captain this year for my high school team, St. Paul's, and will be going for another run at the D1 Louisiana State Championship this year.
I’ve loved the game since I first stepped onto the pitch at Age 5 and would love the opportunity to continue playing at the collegiate level. Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile!
All the best,
Brennan
