Personal Statement
I hope to get a scholarship to play soccer in college. My dream is to be a goalie in a D1 school and then possible play in the majors. Until that final whistle blows, I am going to give it my all no matter the score. Before the beginning of each half in every game, I give my teammates an encouraging word and a high five, pushing them to be better because we are a team and can only win if we work together. I love the game and have played soccer since Kindergarten, playing goalie since the 4th grade. I guess you could say my height and wingspan help me out a little bit. I love the pressure of close-scoring games. I'm not afraid to do what I have to do, whether it's running out and tackling somebody or sacrificing my body to make a save.
I also work as hard as I can off the field whether it's in school or at my job. My strengths are in math and history. I want to major in psychology and minor in criminology. It is really fascinating to learn about the human brain and why we do what we do. I believe I am different from other athletes because of my hard work, love for the game, and the will to do whatever it takes to get better.
