Daniel Chambless '24 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has been my greatest joy ever since I was little. My love for the sport has never changed and continues to grow. To have an opportunity to play at the next level has always been a dream and a goal of mine. I understand that playing in college is life changing being able to receive an education while playing the sport I love.

    I have a laid back personality which really contributes to my mental toughness. I am a strong physical defender that is smart on the pitch with a high soccer I.Q. I love to see the success of my teammates and often try to motivate and encourage them. I was voted Captain of my club team by my teammates. I try to lead by example in whatever it may be especially with sportsmanship. I strive daily to become the hardest working player on my team.

    I work very hard all year round looking for ways to improve all parts of my game whether its physical attributes or technical skills. I've been working with Coach Clarence at Godspeedfitelite for two years now to improve my athleticism, strength and speed. Although Im a defensive player I continue to work to improve all aspects of my game. I started working with Coach Marvin at Marvin Smith Soccer Academy to address my technical skills along with my techniques. During my summers I train with the Baton Rouge Capitals our local semi-pro team.

    In the classroom I put in the work to maintain a 3.42 G.P.A. Other activities include being a member of the marching band and also helping my younger brothers soccer team in their practices. I love to help my brother and his teammates get better. 

     I want to attend college so I can push myself to achieve my goal of graduating with a degree. Although Im still undecided on a major,  Law, Engineering and even possibly coaching hold my interest. I know there is so much more I can achieve and offer in soccer as well. I am open to all possibilities and hopefully can find the right college match with the highest level of competition possible.
