Isaac York '23 Recruiting Profile

The sport of soccer brings a great deal of joy to my life.  I have favorite memories both from playing and watching soccer since I was a young toddler.  This sport brings me closer to my family, allows me new friendships, and creates opportunities for personal goals.  I've grown as a person, maturing and learning responsibilities while playing travel, rec, and high school programs.  I've learned some of life's hardest lessons at a young age and yet I still come back every day for the love of the game.  I've suffered setbacks, cheering on my teammates from the sidelines as I recovered from an ACL injury my junior year and  sitting the bench due to a quad contusion for regional finals in my senior year of high school soccer.  Self motivation, determination, and a strong support group brought me back from injuries to play a high level of soccer with goals, assists, and honors to showcase my efforts. I'm known for making plays, setting up my teammates, being creative on the pitch, and a tenacious player.   Overall, I'm a midfield danger to the opposing team, making a noticeable difference for my team when I'm on the pitch.  I believe that working hard in the off season using guiding self-determination and discipline to grow as an athlete.  My desire to play, athleticism, determination,  and love of the sport will be a great addition to any team.
