Philip Caputo '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Philip Caputo. Over the past years playing High School soccer has really shaped who I am as a player and a person in my every day life. I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete in my junior year when our team didnt make it past the section semi finals. This experience helped me re-evaluate my role in every team that i play in. 

This past spring in 2018 I went to Brazil to study and to play soccer at Colegio Anchieta. This was one of my favorite highlights of my life. I got to not only experience how the soccer culture is there and how important soccer is apart of their religion. But i also learned how school is so much different. This experience has helped me go through adversity. I learned that going through almost anything in life will be difficult but in the end hard work will make it all worth it. As a soccer player this experience taught me to work my hardest in every single game that I play. I hope to find a school that offers a challenge not only athletically but also academically.
