Personal Statement
I started playing soccer at the age of seven and admired the game ever since. I have gone through various challenges throughout my years of playing soccer that has shaped me into the young man that I am today. One of the most important things that I've learned is to "always stay positive even if things don't go your way". That quote pushed me to be a better soccer player and person all around. I believe when my team lost a cup final that made me grow and become a stronger person. That loss gave me the motivation and concentration on improving my overall performance. My academic goal for high school is to graduate with a high GPA.
I was blessed for the chance to make the Olympic Development Program (ODP) regional team for the 2002 boys. I am honored to be a part of a team that has such an elite level of play. With this opportunity, I want to have a great impact on the team and show why I am so dedicated to the program. Furthermore, I want to bring not only dedication but my self-discipline, hard work and desire to succeed in college. I am looking for a college that will challenge me academically and allow me to continue my love for the game of soccer.
