Christian DeChiaro '20 Recruiting Profile

In 2017 I was selected to become the starting Center Back and Captain of the Defense of the NJ Stallions Juve 02.  I am privileged to be a part of the continuing and excelling success as we are currently ranked #1 nationally, a first time achievement for the Stallions Soccer Academy.  As part of this ranking, I am proud to anchor a strong and cohesive defensive unit resulting in a positive goal differential of 2.16. 

In addition to playing for the NJ Stallions Juve 02, I am currently a starting player and co-captain of the Christian Brothers Academy Rugby team.  I was presented with the Coaches Award at the conclusion of the 2018 Fall season.  Participation within the Rugby program helps me to improve my strength, agility, quickness, speed, and stamina.

Prior to playing for the NJ Stallions Juve 02, I was the starting Left Back for the 2016 undefeated Christian Brothers Academy freshman soccer team, winning the Wall Township Invitational Tournament championship.  The highlight of my freshman soccer season was being a critical member of the dominant defensive unit that allowed only five (5) goals in 18 games. 

As a soccer and rugby athlete, and as a student of the martial arts since the age of 4, I understand and value the optimization of team performance – by harmonizing the synchronization of teamwork with individual responsibility, discipline, sacrifice, commitment, and performance.  Although primarily a Defensive Player (right foot dominant, but starting on the left side), I am capable of playing all field positions.  As a result of my defensive performance, versatility, and dependability; I am confident that I will be a valued and contributing leader on your team.
