2020 Highlights #2
2020 HighlightsI have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I have also played lacrosse since I was 6 years old as a defenseman which relies heavily on communication. For my club team, I play right wing back but, I am able to easily use my left foot because I used to play as a left back. For my school team, I either play right back or center back. I have always loved soccer and always strived to get better even by going overseas to train in Scotland. I was able to gain a lot of knowledge and have the opportunity to be coached by former Rangers FC coaches.
During Covid-19 I did not stop training. I would help run soccer practices over Zoom for my school, and I would often go to a park near my house to continue to train. Also during Covid-19, I helped to run a food drive for families that lost their jobs during quarantine.
I am a focused, dedicated and a vocal team player, and my decision making is based on what is best for the team. My team mates can count on me to bring energy and leadership skills to the game. I never give up. The style of play is typically move the ball, don't force play, physical, quick passing and typically plays start from the back. I am able to adapt quickly to the style of play of the opponent. I am an intense player but keep my composure. I am seeking to play for a competitive team that I can contribute my skills to win and grow as a player. Off the field I don't shy away from adversity or a challenge. I have started an Entrepreneurship club at my school and I have join the BFI club (Business Finance and Investment Club), along with taking three honors classes.
I am now looking for a program that will be a good fit for me academically and athletically. I believe that I am able to compete with a college team, and I believe that I have the work ethic as well as the leadership skills to make an instant impact. As a two-sport athlete for 10 years, and a 7-year captain, I definitely know how to be a leader.
