To me, soccer is shaping my life and helping me become a better overall person. I don't see soccer as just a game, it's confidence, strength and personal growth all in one; things I can use everyday in life. Once I began serious participation in soccer I've learned the value of teamwork and the joy of being a part of something that is bigger and greater than myself. There is nothing more satisfying than working hard with my teammates to accomplish success. I am passionate about the game and I am willing to make great sacrifices to improve my skills and level of performance. Because of soccer I have become competitive, dedicated and have developed a strong work ethic and mindset. I've learned the importance of leadership and taking charge when needed to. These qualities will help me succeed over other athletes that are faster and stronger. I can say that if you give me this opportunity, I will do everything I can to be successful not only on the pitch but also in the classroom and the community.
