David Kearns '21 Recruiting Profile

Playing for my current club (STA) is the highest level of soccer that I have played at so far, but I would not be as good as I am today if I had actually made the team the first time I tried out. After not making the team the first time, I set out with a new determination to improve my skills and eventually make the team. To do this I trained weekly with a private coach, and joined a higher level club team as a training player. During this time, I played for U.S. Parma. During the summer, I would wake up early to train by myself for several hours each day. This has shown me that i have self motivation and a drive to improve. My immediate goals are to get onto the STA NPL team, and after that, play in college. The same work ethic that I posses for soccer, I maintain for academics and am committed to achieving high grades throughout my high school career. I feel that I have the work ethic and commitment to play at the college level.
