Giovanni Amato '20 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to take a leading role in the success of a collegiate soccer team and attain a challenging college degree. I love soccer and I am excited about launching my college career and look forward to working hard with college level coaches to improve my skills and become the best player I can be. I have played soccer since I was 3 and competitive soccer for over 12 years and I’ve learned that while being my best is important, being a great teammate is equally important. Winning teams have great players and great chemistry and I contribute in both ways to my teams. I have always shown my teammates respect and support them both on and off the field and many of my closest friends are also teammates. Academically, I attend a very challenging high school and while playing soccer there and for a travel team with an 8-month season, I have attained a GPA of 4.3 while taking AP courses. I am equally excited about attending college classes and living away from home. If you add me to your team, you will get a hardworking, dedicated player, who wants to get better and win, who will be respectful of coaches, who will be supportive and friendly to teammates and who will take academics seriously.
