Daniel Steuer '23 Recruiting Profile

I love the game of soccer but I do want to go to college primarily for an education. I want to become a PE teacher or a Physical or Occupational Therapist because being active is good for your physical and mental health and I love to help others. I was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and came to the USA as a baby. I had the opportunity to go back and live there for a few years in elementary school with my adoptive family. Soccer is fully a part of the culture there. Every class had a "class soccer ball" and kids will make soccer balls out of plastic grocery bags to play on the street. I think Ethiopia is where I got my deep love for the game. I am a Christian and would be interested in attending a Christian college but that is not essential. I am a encourager and the player who keeps people calm on the field in pressure situations. I am a ECIC Second team All start selection and was honored with the Rick Wojner Memorial Soccer Scholarship for sportsmanship and service to my team.
