Personal Statement
My goals for collegiate soccer are to grow as a player and become a better leader. I’m a very competitive player, I hate losing and will do whatever my team needs me to do to win. I am willing to put in the work and am always looking for ways to improve my play. I’ve grown up playing with my older brother, it has taught me how to play against players that are bigger and stronger. This has also made me more competitive and a more physical player. I’m also a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo, which has taught how to lead and how to listen. It has helped me to be disciplined and focused, taught me how to use my body, and trained me mental strength. This helps me stay composed and collected during games, and not let mistakes keep me from playing with confidence. Not only have I played sports my whole life, but I have watched and enjoyed all types of sports. I am very interested in a career that would allow me to be involved in sports such as marketing or communications. I have taken classes like adobe visual design that helped me learn more about work in these areas and look forward to exploring more about these careers in college.
