Wyatt Long '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Wyatt Long. I'm passionate about continuing my education while playing at a competitive and challenging collegiate level. My goals are to excel academically as well as athletically. It's a huge goal of mine to contribute to a team's success while also setting up my future with my academics. I aim to excel and develop my skills that involve leadership and teamwork abilities, all the while, maintaining academic stability and success. I believe I am a strong candidate for a team because of my dedication, work ethic, and my passion for soccer. I balance my academics and athletics by keeping steady grades all the while being a key component and player for both of my teams. I always strive to improve and further improve myself as a player on the field, in the locker room, and the classroom. I pride myself on being able to keep a level head and not give up even during conflict in a game. I also pride myself in being able to take criticism as well as build off of it to better myself and the level of my game. As captain of my school team, I aim to lift my fellow teammates, as well as guide and support them whenever they need it. Even without the title on my club team, I do the same. Athletically, I always try to push beyond my limits and improve my performance in whatever I do. My strong competitive spirit helps drive me to be the best player I can be. I'm very coachable and will listen and implement any advice I get about my play then further improve on it to succeed. Academically I am committed to keeping steady grades so it's not a problem or worry for me as well as the coaches and team. I know that academics are the most important thing of all on the collegiate level as well as now in High School before any other aspect. Again, I am driven to keep a balance of academic and athletic success to improve the student and player I am now and at the collegiate level.
