The motivation behind everything I do is to be better today than I was yesterday, and better tomorrow than I am today. This is achieved by pushing myself daily through soccer drills, practices, running and not settling for mediocrity. Over the past 10 years, I have played multiple sports each year, including soccer, baseball, football, basketball, wrestling, golf, tennis, men's volleyball and track. Each sport required its own set of skills that I worked tirelessly to sharpen, which has led to being a well-rounded athlete. I have taken all of those skills and energy and have applied them solely to soccer. As soccer has become my passion, I have laser-focus on being the best me, being the competitor the opposing team dreads to play against and being the teammate that brings out the "effort" in my teammates.
While my passion for pushing myself physically drives me to look for a college where I fit athletically, I am just as focused on finding the right fit academically. My goals for college are to receive a 4 year degree in a career field that fits my personality and interest level, ideally in an athletic-related field such as Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Physical Education, Parks and Recreation, Exercise Science, etc. But my entrepreneurial mind also takes my interests to other places such as Architecture, Real Estate Development, Business and possibly even Sports Management.
Many of my coaches throughout the years would say I was coachable. And it's true. I rarely make the same mistake twice. I push myself. I push others around me. I care about nutrition and what fuels my body daily, to help me be the best athlete I can be. I outlast my opponents through my conditioning. These are the things that separate me from other athletes...the passionate desire to be better today than I was yesterday and better tomorrow than I am today.
