Personal Statement
Throughout my years of rigorous experiences for both athletics and academics, I have managed to grasp what it means to be fully committed and assiduous to my passions. During this time period, not only have I dedicated myself to this process, but I have chosen to make the absolute best academic decisions I could possibly make with the time I had. By taking numerous AP courses aligned with my respective interests, bringing my best possible scores in the SAT/ACT/PSAT, and managing my time to play and never miss out on games/events regarding my athletic passions for track, soccer, and cross country alike, I finally found a healthy balance of time through years of trial-and-error. Thus, I believe that I am not just ready to play for college, but to be successful in an institution of great athletic and academic caliber as well.
Currently, I play for FC Premier 04B and the Centennial High School Varsity team in Frisco ISD. My experiences as a varsity starter, sprinter for track, runner for cross country, and student in the classroom have all empowered me to be someone who can rapidly accept and adjust to varying team environments and bring my individuality and worth to the table. As a 3-sport athlete competing for 4 teams for over 5 years straight at the highest level and as a student who can be successful in the classroom while doing so, I am truly excited to continue my journey and passions into college.
In addition to my athletic and academic life, I tutor many of my peers in preparation for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and PSAT. As a high school student whose experiences are fresh in my mind, I tend to have an upper hand due to the fact that I can correlate my understandings to my peers on a personal and individual level without an age barrier. As a result, my goal remains steady and aligned with theirs - by aiding them to achieve their best scores, they can also pursue their passions into college. When I have free time, I enjoy teaching myself the piano, making origami, and cooking up some simple dishes for my family - all, of course, in addition to the extra time I put into my passions.
