I would like to attend a college that has great engineering and soccer programs. My goal is to become an aerospace engineer.
I currently play for Elite FC of the Houston Football Association, a men’s league. Last year, I was dual-rostered on the USSDA U16 Academy Team and the U17 Boys Competitive Team for the Texas Rush Soccer Club. I can play both mid-field and defensive wing-back and, moreover, I am naturally left-footed. I was selected to the Region III South Texas ODP Training Pool and attended the Region III Training Camp in both 2013 and 2014. I was also selected as an All-Star player for the 2014 Stanford University College ID and the 2016 UC San Diego College ID Camps. Finally, I am a starter for Cinco Ranch High School varsity team, a Texas State Tournament Semi-finalist in 2016.
As a student, my class rank is 48 out of 799 students. I currently have a 3.84 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and scored 1350 out of 1600 on the SAT and a 32 on the ACT. I am a member of the National Honor Society and received a National Hispanic Merit Recognition. In addition, I volunteer as a group leader for 7th graders at my local church and am employed as a “shift lead” at Orange Leaf® a local frozen yogurt retail establishment. I am a member of the Aerospace Club at Cinco Ranch High School and was selected to participate in the High School Aerospace Scholars Program at NASA this past summer. Given my academic strengths in math and science, I am very interested in selecting an engineering major in college.
In January 2017 I will be playing in the Lake Travis College Showcase in Texas. I hope that you are able to see me play. I would very much like to meet you in person and talk about the possibility of being a part of your team in 2017. If there is anything I can do to help you decide whether I might be a good fit for your program please don’t hesitate to ask.
