Personal Statement
Ever since I was 8 I dreamed of being a division 1 soccer player. I have always pushed myself to keep improving my game because I know it takes hard work, dedication, and self awareness in order to compete at the highest level possible. Due to my size, intelligence on the field, and my skill level, I have always played up with people older than me. I was lucky enough to have coaches take notice of that and push me to the next level. In 2018 , as an '03 player, I was invited to go to regionals in Virginia with our '01 Farpost team. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase my abilities as a player and as a leader. From that point on, my coaches continued to provide me with opportunities to growas a player, I was invited to summer training with the UVM mens soccer team, and continued to work out and train with my own '03 team as well as the '01 team. I continued playing at a high level in high school making Varsity as a freshman, sophomore, and senior, starting and playing all minutes of every game. I was on the disabled list junior year after making the varsity team. I was named captain sophomore, junior, senior years.
Academically, I made honor roll my freshman and sophomore year being able to maintain a 3.2 GPA and my Senior year I have been holding a 3.3 GPA so far. I have always pushed myself, knowing I am capable of doing more. Every year I help set up and clean up the harvest festival in our town, I am a part of the Refugee Outreach program which helps children and families in need get clothes, and we raise money for housing.
