Max Correia '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Max Correia. I was born in Bermuda; I am 5' 11" and I currently attend St. Johnsbury Academy.   I graduate in June 2012.  I have attended St. Johnsbury for the past 3 1/2 years and have played soccer for the school since attending.  During my time at St Johnsbury I have played as a goal keeper, right wing back, midfielder and striker.

I presently play as a midfielder or right wing back.  My preferrence is midfielder as I feel I am a more valuable player in this position.  I also take the free kicks and goal kicks for the team as I am very good at placing the ball where needed.   It has been a dream of mine to play for a college and then with the skill and experience having played for a college team to be picked up by the MLS.  Ideally I would like to play in the North East but am willing to travel farther to a school if I had too.  I am in a position where my family does not need a scholarship and I consider this a blessing.  Ideally I would like to be at a college where I can play early in my career.  I am a natural leader, and like to communicate and spur my team mates on.
