Matthew Quigley '15 Recruiting Profile

Since I was four years old, soccer has been a huge part of my life. From the first time I kicked a soccer ball to now, soccer has inspired me throughout the years. I would like someday to play for a good college and hopefully go even further into the professional part of the game. My childhood dream was to hopefully play for a big team, but living in a small town, I knew that it would be a hard goal to acomplish. When I was In middle school I played club soccer and wanted to make sure that when I got into high school, I would make the Varsity team my freshman year. I set that as my goal and worked hard at training and in my games. During the first high school try-outs in my freshman year, my coach told my parents and I that he was going to give me a trial on the Varsity team to see how well I played at senior level. After my first game I was put on the Varsity team and was extremely happy and proud of myself that all my hard work had payed off. Now that I have achieved my goal of making Varsity soccer in high school I plan to continue working hard to maintain my position and set my sights on playing college soccer when I graduate.
