Barry Souare-Wooten '26 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a junior class of 2026. I attend George C. Marshall High School and I currently have a gpa 3.74. I am playing with Achilles MLSNext  for 25/26 season. Defensively I am a ball winning defensive midfielder while in the build up I am a deep lying center defensive midfielder. I can play as a 7,11,10, 2, 3 to make an impact in the game. As a 7/11 I can take my man on and create for my team whereas 2 or 3 I use my defensive attributes to deny any forward attacks from the opponent.

My best attribute is my ability to win the ball in 1v1 duels, anticipating the opponents pass, aggression on the ball carrier, and not being afraid to go for aerial challenges. My passion for the game thrives through me, I love going into tackles strong and winning the ball back especially when my team needs it most. On the ball, I am calm and collected while orchestrating the tempo of my team. 

I truly love football even with its ups and downs because that's what builds character not only as an athlete but as a human being. I can't continue to dwell on my mistakes and mishaps, there's 2 halves of a 90 minute match, thus 2 halves to play at full capacity to aim for perfection and strive for improvement leaving no regrets on the field while doing so.

I have been blessed with opportunity to train in Spain in Villarreal for Villarreal CF youth academy and represent my team from Virginia in Las Vegas, Nevada for North America La Liga Select Pro for Villarreal. My trip to Spain and Las Vegas was all possible through my coach Michael Arandia and former coaches Nicolas Flores and Joel Flores, and lastly my trainer Eric Jennings because each one of them gave me the privilege to train under them and build me into the player I am now at Villarreal Virginia.
