Dear, Future Coach
For the past 12 years, I have taken a passion for swimming. When I was around 6 I would have to walk a mile in order to attend practice but by then, my body had given up to continue a 2-hour session. I started to lose my passion for my sport when I turned 10 because I started to see sports as a burden in my life. I had continued to go swimming but not to become better than who I was but because there was something missing inside of me. When I turned 12 I had a realization in the water which told me to push myself. This moment was special because I felt a sudden rush of adrenaline and my body was able to cut through the water so perfectly and when I was coming close to my turn from "Backstroke" to "Breastroke," I didn't know what "Turn" I had done until a few years later I would learn that this was a "Bucket Turn." I have not been able to burn myself out because I started competitive swimming just a few years ago and now I am practicing 3 hours each day with No Day off practicing mainly Flexibility and Technique. I have seen tons of improvement ranging from 5 seconds to 10 seconds drop and I cannot wait for my next time drop. This sudden miracle that came to me in the water has not only influenced me to become the best in the water but even when it comes to academics and progress in my future. Soon after this moment, I took a job from Lil' kickers as a soccer coach at the Bladium located at Denver, Colorado and I took in Lifeguarding. I will always have time for swimming no matter what! Some of my greatest inspiration practice swimming for 8 Hours! If I was able to take Lifeguarding lessons for 8 hours each day and then immediately go swimming practice for 3 hours later, I am doubtless that I am capable to practice in an elite level for 10 hours straight. I am not doing this for anyone else I am ambitious to become the best at swimming and willing to take any risk.
Attentively, Daniel Tochimani- Hernandez
