I chose Marmion Academy, which is an all boys Benedictine College Prep school. I wanted a school that would challenge me. When I joined the swim team my freshman year, I had never swam competitively. I had always been a runner. I joined again my sophomore year, and realized swimming was something I wanted to pursue. I joined the Academy Bullets club team in May of 2019, it made a big difference on my 2020 season. I was on the Marmion Varsity team the following season. Our Medley Relay team placed 1st in Sectionals, with an All-American consideration time of 1:34.31. We then went on to place 8th in the State finals. I had large drops in my personal times as well. My 100 Free dropped from a 56.51 in 2019, to a 48.47 in 2020. I also had a 47.80, 100 Free relay split. My 50 free dropped from a 24.64 in 2019, to a 22.51 in 2020 (with multiple 21.8 in my relay splits). 200 Free was a 2:13.63 in 2019, this year a 1:47.88. I also made the honor roll both semesters last year. I am looking for a team with a coach that will push me to be better and with teammates that push each other. Since the pandemic I have been working very hard to stay in shape. My family opened our pool in April and I swam even in the snow. My club team started back in the pool, in June. We had our first official meet in September. I swam my best 50 free time of 22.39, and came close to my best 100 time by swimming 48.50. I also finished the past semester on the Distinguished honor roll with a 3.64. We were recently able to start our high school season. We had our first meet February 6th. In the past few weeks I have hit PR's and am right at my PR's in the other events.
