Matthew Durbin '21 Recruiting Profile

Joining my current swim team, back in 2016, has been one of the best choices I’ve made. Since that event, I have dropped more than 6 seconds in the 50 freestyle and more than 14 seconds in my 100 free. Swimming has tought me perseverance, hard work, and camaraderie. Due to this, I would wish to continue in the world of swimming as I obtain my degree.  I am confident that whatever college chooses to recruit me will get a hard working young man, ready to  obtain as many points for their team as possible. I have gone from being a kid who, 3 years ago, couldn’t make state and was swimming with kids 5 years younger than him to qualify for futures and being one of the best swimmers on my team. My coaches and family have done a wonderful job supporting me in this, and I am certain that that will not change throughout my college career.
