Hi, my name is Tanner Sharp. I am currently swimming for the Dexter Community Aquatic Club coached by Dave Gendernalik and for Dexter High School in Dexter, Michigan, under head coach Michael McHugh. This year our high school team won its fourth consecutive division 2 state title. In that meet, I placed 7th in the 50 free with a time of 21.55 and set a new school record while placing 5th in the 100 breast with a time of 58.24.
Most people would probably say that I am one of the most dedicated members on the team since I am a year round swimmer and I know the team relies on me when the time comes. I was voted team captain as a senior for next years season as well. In terms of academics, I have a 3.2 GPA. I've never gotten into any trouble with school or sports and I am respectful to teachers and coaches alike. In terms of swimming in college, I'm looking for a team that's easy to get along with, that's fun, and hard working. I look forward to pushing myself at this college level.
Thank you.
