My collegiate goals and aspirations include competing at the highest level of Division 1 swimming at a top tier university with challenging academics. I specialize in breaststroke, the 200 breaststroke being my best event. I have been swimming since I was three and I loved it every day since then. I started competitive swimming at five. During this time, I also played baseball. It was in 8th Grade that I realized that swimming was the path I wanted to take and that baseball wasn’t helping me get there, so I left baseball for a more rigorous swim schedule. Although swimming is a large part of my life, academics are just as important to me. I hope to explore the field of engineering and computer science during my college years alongside a successful swimming career, and I am looking for a college that will allow me to do both. Currently, in high school, I pride myself on hard work and dedication to both my school work and swim practices, and I look forward to taking my enthusiasm to the pool and classroom in college.
