My name is Daniel Furman, and I am a swimmer in the class of 2023. I have been swimming for eight years competitively and cannot imagine my life without the sport. College swimming will allow me to continue competitively swimming and doing what I love for the next four years. It will continue the team bonding that I have had for the past eight years of club swimming and will push me past my comfort zone. My goals for the future are to improve in my swimming endeavors and become the best student-athlete that I can be. My determination and drive at practice and especially at meets pushed me to continue swimming in college. I have been captain of my high school varsity team for two seasons and helped coach my town team. Swimming has become my main focus; the water is my second home. Furthermore, swimming has impacted my life tremendously, and with some more training and hard work, I plan on swimming in college.
