Dear Coach,

My name is Grayson Carr, and I am reaching out because I am passionate about swimming and excited about the possibility of continuing my athletic and academic journey at the collegiate level. I have always been determined to push myself in the sport, and through hard work and dedication, my coach has commented that I will be among the top two swimmers on my team this year.

Swimming is not just about competition for me—it’s about constantly challenging myself to improve, experiencing the excitement of being part of a team, and growing both as an athlete and as a person. I look forward to being part of a college team that will push me to new heights.

In addition to my athletic goals, I am very focused on academics. While I am still refining my career goals, I know that I want to study mechanical engineering. I have taken the initiative to enroll in AP and honors classes throughout high school, pushing myself academically in the same way that I do in the pool. I pride myself on being a self-motivated, responsible student who is committed to continuous improvement in all areas.

I believe I can be an asset to your team, not just because of my abilities in the pool, but also because of my character, determination, and willingness to grow.
