From a very young age I had been known to be naturally very competitive, whether it being at board games or test grades. Therefore, the minute I joined a swim team I was hooked, being given a chance to prove my greatness through dedication and hard work. When I was in the eighth grade my football coach inspired me with the the simple phrase "you get what you give." I remind myself of my coach's words at every practice I swim, every meet I compete in, and every time I find myself with hours of homework.
Also, I am a very well rounded individual, expressing my creativity and ambitions through various passions through out the years including teaching myself guitar and piano, being a part of track and football prior to my full commitment to swimming, and also excelling academically by taking every advanced class I am able to.
Being a great swimmer is much more that breaking records and winning medals. Though everyday I strive to be the best and will settle for nothing less, I am also an effective leader in and out of the pool. I try my best to constantly push and motivate my team mates for them to reach their full potential. Lastly,
