February 2021Personal Statement
My name is Austin Stone and I’m a 2022 graduate from Carpinteria California. I come from a big tennis family. Both my brother and I play, our mom played division 1(James Madison University), and she is currently the Director of Tennis at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racket Club.
My current UTR is a 10.42 and I am a three star recruit. I have recently taken a set off of a 12 UTR and two 11 UTRs and beaten a 10.5 UTR. I also qualified as 1 of 20 players to play in Southern California CIF individuals where I made it to the quarter-finals and lost in 3 sets to an 11.1 UTR. I excel as a doubles player, and I was a quarter-finalist in the Southern California Doubles Sectional tournament.
I take my education very seriously and I currently have a 4.3 weighted GPA. I haven’t yet decided on a major, however I would like to work in the entertainment industry or in engineering.
