Hi, my name is Rocco Regnier and I am very interested in playing for your tennis program as a student athlete. My singles UTR is currently 10, doubles is 10.5 and I have consistently been among the highest ranked junior players in the Missouri Valley USTA Section. I am a top recruit in Missouri on tennisrecruiting.net and I am a 4-star recruit on tennisrecruiting.net. I have played #1 on my high school varsity tennis team since I was a freshman and I won back-to-back district championships in the St. Louis area. I also medaled at the Missouri state championships in each of my first two years in high school and was named to the all-metro boys tennis team as a freshman and sophomore.

Tennis is my passion and playing college tennis is one of my ultimate goals. I am a fierce competitor on the court giving everything I have from the first ball of a match until the last point. I have played in USTA tournaments since I was 8 years old and I love to compete in pressure situations whether it’s in singles, doubles or at team events. I love to grind not only in matches but also in practice. Whether it’s doing drills or working out off the court, I strive to get better every single day. I train hard at high level clinics in the St. Louis area including the CORE Academy of Tennis at the Creve Coeur Racquet Club and the Forest Lake Tennis Academy at the Forest Lake Tennis Club. I have received top level instruction from excellent tennis professionals including Troy Bray, Melisa Lemus, Paul Lucas and Mike Miller (contact numbers below). I believe my love for tennis along with the experience I have gained from training and competing in tournaments is preparing me for a successful college tennis career.

As much as I love tennis, it is not my only focus. I am also committed to academic success. I am going to be a senior at Eureka High School in Eureka, MO and currently have a GPA of 3.71. I am an active member of the National Honor Society and take part in the student council at Eureka High School. I am also a member of what’s called the E-Crew at my high school. That’s a group which does all kinds of projects including helping incoming freshman get used to being in high school. Finally, I have played the cello since the 4^th grade and I am a member of the Eureka High School orchestra.

Tennis is a major part of my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. But my schoolwork and other extracurricular activities are important to me as well. It’s all part of making me a well-rounded student athlete and the kind of person who would make a great addition to your tennis program!
