Personal Statement
I began my tennis journey when I was five years old. I was lucky enough to have a father who was a tennis coach and passed his love of the game on to me. I started in tournaments at the age of seven with the encouragement of my father and reached eighth in New England for U10. In 2016, my dad died unexpectedly. Although I continued to take lessons, I took a break from competitive tennis for a few years. My freshman year of high school I played number one singles on the varsity tennis team which inspired me to reignite my competitive tennis journey. I started competing again in November 2019, and am currently ranked #1 in New Hampshire and #34 in New England for U16. My goal for college tennis is to play NCAA on a team that will support individual and group development. On a personal note, I love the game of tennis, and will continue to set goals to improve my game and myself.
