I am currently a sophomore at West anchorage high in Alaska. I am relatively new to running, having only started in 9th grade seriously. I train hard on the trails and on the track and have big goals for the end of high school. I would love to run for a division one school for track or even cross country, and a scholarship would be awesome. I aspire to reach 4:09 in the mile and 1:55 in the 800 by my senior year, as well as a 15:50 xc 5k. As nice as these imaginary numbers sound, committing to them means dedicating time, money, and effort every day of these next 2 1/2 years. I will push my limits but I am prepared to do so and will hopefully garner the opportunity to use this effort to represent a division 1 school. I come from a big family under a single mom so I have learned to improvise and make do with what I have. I love hiking, skiing, canoeing, climbing, and most anything outside. Ultimately I am aspiring to be an aerospace pilot or engineer, but if another career opportunity presents itself or my athletic skill increases, that may change. I am currently about to enter my sophomore track season, and will update pr's regularly. I strive for excellence in both academics and in sports.
