My name is Hunter Patton. I am a Junior this year (2017/2018), and a Captain of our Varsity Track & Field team, and 3rd place at State in the 110 H hurdles. I am quite competitive in the sports that I love. I have been on many sports teams such as the swim team, karate, wrestling, football & track. Track and football are the ones that I love and that I am committed to excel in throughout high school, and Lord willing, college too.
I just completed my junior year track season. I took 2nd place in our Region and 3rd in the State in the 110 HH. I ran varsity track my freshman year and qualified in an individual event , 300m hurdles for State. I placed 4th at the Regional track meet, and 10th in the State as a freshman.
I went to Harvard Complete Track and Field in July 2017, focused on distance hurdles. It was great to be back running the hurdles again and to be training with elite athletes and coaches. I learned a lot and plan to put it into my training program this year.
I attended 2 football camps in the Summer of 2016. The All Alaska Football Camp in Palmer Alaska, and the NFL football camp in Kenai Alaska. It is important to me to continue to learn and practice in order to get better, faster & stronger. I have also continued working with my coach in the weight room all summer.
My other activities include 4H Junior Market Livestock, hunting on horseback, hiking, snow machining, fishing and camping. I am working hard in school. I am interested in engineering for my future studies
I know I am young and have a lot of hard work and learning ahead of me, and I am excited about it all. I have a great coach & team who will help me be the best I can be.
