My name is Steven Cuevas and I've been running at the varsity level since a freshman. I am now going into my Junior year of High School. To maintain this varsity position I demonstrate constant dedication and value to my coach's input on how I can improve. My events are 100m, 200m, 400m, Long Jump, 4x1, and 4x4. I believe I can make a difference at any school I go to, academically and athletically. Academically, I maintain a 3.75 GPA. I am also a honor and AP student as I enroll myself in harder classes. Outside of the classroom, I am an athlete with a goal to beat the school record for 100 and 200 meters. To achieve this goal I work hard on the track, show up early, stay late after practice, and work out on weekends. I'm a student of the sport. I study runners I go against and notice patterns in how they run. I've learned that no two races are ran the same and you must always remain mentally engaged. I work hard academically and athletically so that I may have the opportunity to attend a good college and pursue my dream to run track.
