Gavin McCurdy '25 Recruiting Profile

I am fully aware that my size compared to succesful high school throwers is lacking. But I'm willing to go further with training than they are, I understand my height wasn't something in my control, but working harder than the rest absolutely is in my control and I'm going to take advantage of every opportunity. I am willing to take a redshirt season, I am willing to take it further than the rest because I love the process of getting better almost as much as I love the sport itself. Academically I don't struggle with classes and I'm a fast learner, I have only thrown for one season and I'm still putting up numbers I am truly proud of. I compete with everything I have for 3 months and train harder than anyone I know for the other 9. I know I'm a major risk but I will pay off for whoever is willing to take that risk.
