Joshua Weinstein '28 Recruiting Profile

I am a 9th grader who competes nationally with juniors and seniors in high school in the pole vault. I have been working at this sport since the age of 6. I am currently jumping at 12’ but am on the verge of a much higher PR. I really want to pole vault in college. I am coachable, I work hard, and I focus on my goals. I am also supportive of my peers and teammates. I am a serious student with a 96/100 GPA at a very academically challenging boys' school in Washington DC. One of my pole vault clubs is almost an hour from my house with traffic, and the other is nearly three hours from home, so I routinely work on homework the whole way there and back and then sit at my desk until 10:00 to get everything done. I also love downhill skiing, rock climbing and hiking. I would love to study the sciences and ultimately become an astronaut.
