HJ and LJPersonal and social:
In my younger years my family and I lived in Australia for 3 years, besides introducing me to track and field this trip also gave me a lot of personal experience. I am therefore very good at socializing and do not find meeting new people as a problem. And starting fresh with new people is just making new friends. The trip has also given me an advantage in learning the english language (specially oral).
I (and others) would describe myself as:
+ tolerant and funny
+ caring, helpful and open
+/- loud and up-forward
+/- some would call me very ambitious and brainy
Sport:
I have done track and field for the last 9 years, at first in Australia before I moved back to Denmark and continued. In my early years I had my prime focus on high jump and hurdles but enjoyed doing almost every event. Later, around the age of 14 I came to choose decathlon, at that time primarily because I did not want to give up on any of my events to focus on 1 (or 2). Along the years I have come to love everything about decathlon, the mental strength, the allround athleticism, the training and preparation, the social aspect and the feeling you have after finishing a decathlon.
I have never been a big talent but worked my way up and never seen myself (only dreaming) going internationally until last year, where I qualified for Youth World Championship. Without doing a massive result leap, I suddenly had the skill to make the qual. with 6518p and only 2 PR in the 10 events.
I have achieved:
6558p
National champion in decathlon 2 years in a row (indoor and outdoor)
+ National champion in some single events
4th at Nordic championships in decathlon 2015
18th at Youth world championship
All of the above of course in my our age group
Latest update:
The winter training has now started, mainly consisting of gym, running and bacis drills in given events. I have not had problems with my injury so fare, i am also focusing a lot on training these specific mucle groups. Besides training, we also have a lot om national camps there in the off season. I enjoy them alot, both meeting up with the other decathletes but also getting that quality training done.
Goal for next season: My goal for next year is doing +7000 in the junior decathlon, and the dream is qualifying for the junior European Championship (7150). But of course unsure of where i stand decathlon wise at this point
My SAT has been taken, and i am waiting the result, and i should soon be eligible
