John Patrick Hall '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Patrick Hall and I am a junior at Episcopal High School with the goal of running track in college. My favorite events right now are the 100m, 200m and 400m. I compete year round between Episcopal High School Track and Field coached by Chaney Duplechain and my club team United Southern Express Track Club, coached by Byron Turner. I run the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 4x200m, 4x400m, 4x800m. I've qualified for the Junior Olympics 4x and have been an All American 1x. This summer 2024 I competed in College Station, TX at the Junior Olympics in the 4x100m relay and the 4x400m relay.  Last year in 2023 I qualified with my club track team for Nationals in Eugene, Oregon in the boys 15-16 year old 4x400m relay and the 4x800m relay which my team medaled 8th place, gaining the All-American Title. 

I really feel like my best running is ahead of me and am looking forward to my junior year season. I ran cross country in middle school and freshman year, but now in the track off season I focus on strength and speed training, explosiveness, form and work with a sprint coach. I am also a team player and this summer recruited track friends from other schools to run at my club track -- and we made it to nationals. I really just love being on a track. 

Fortunately I live in Baton Rouge and get to watch several LSU meets a year in my home town. Last year we took a family trip during a school break to watch SEC indoors in Arkansas. It was an incredible experience and the best indoor track I have ever seen. I'd love to get to run in that field house one day. I am also very committed to my school work and received a 3.6 GPA score on my last quarter. I can't wait to run in college one day.
