Running is the sport that I feel a huge passion for. I am a three-sport athlete but running is my main focus and the one that has made a huge impact on my life and I know I will continue to do it throughout my entire life including college. I feel that the whole team dynamic has given me so much growth throughout the 4 years that I have ran. The whole team needs to make a conjoined effort if someone is not with it, you're not gonna make it anywhere.
I was forced into a captain leadership position very early in 8th grade as I already had the best times on the team and there were not a lot of older runners because I go to a smaller school. This ongoing experience has grown me as a person in my work-ethic, leadership, and character that would make me a perfect fit for a college team. For the past three years I've ran in the Louisiana state meet and I didn't place as well as I wanted to. However, this is the most important lesson that I've learned: that there are always people better than you and you can never stop working as hard as you can. I intend to keep this mentality forever.
