I'm Clayton Simms and will be a junior at Live Oak High in Watson LA. I am planning on competing at the collegiate level in the Pole vault. I started as a freshman during outdoor season and made it to Regionals. As a sophomore I competed indoor and won the Division 1 state championship with a jump of 15'8.25"and the 5A Outdoor State championship. As a sophomore I qualified and competed at the New Balance Indoor Nationals and the Texas Relays. I also qualified to the New Balance Outdoor Nationals. I competed and qualified to the AAU Junior Olympics with a jump of 16 feet.
I am a dedicated athlete, being a former competitive gymnast has helped me excel at pole vaulting. That training also instilled a good work ethic.
I would like to compete at the collegiate level at a school that is a good fit for me so I can further my studies and continue in a sport I have a passion for.
