My name is Lucas Arnold, and I’m a rising sophomore at Hopkinton High School in Massachusetts. Distance running is more than just a sport to me, it’s my passion and purpose. I first discovered this love for running in 7th grade, and every mile since has only deepened my commitment. What drives me most is the personal growth I experience through running, seeing my progress, pushing my limits, and setting new standards for myself. But what makes it truly special is sharing that journey with my teammates, who have become like family to me. We grow together, compete together, and support each other every step of the way. While the mile is my favorite event, I’m a versatile runner with experience in both mid-long-distance races. Whether it's running the 4x4 or racing a 5K, I give it everything I have. My dedication is consistent and quiet. I do the extra work when no one is watching, and I always look for ways to improve. I believe that’s what separates good from great, and why I know I have what it takes to compete at the D1 level. As an athlete, I never miss a practice, and I’m fully invested in my team and coach’s vision. I seek out feedback, take it to heart, and apply it. I pride myself on being coachable, team-first, and resilient. I also understand that being a student-athlete means prioritizing both parts of that identity. I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the track. I’m an honor roll student, and I stay after school for extra help when needed, because success in school matters just as much as success in competition. If you’re considering me for your program, know that you're getting more than just a hard-working runner. You’re getting someone who leads with humility, competes with heart, and never settles for less than his best. Thank you for your consideration. I’d be honored to be part of your team.
