My name is Bryson K. Mwaura, and I have been playing soccer since the age of five, nurturing a deep love for the sport. Over the years, I have played in various positions, enabling me to understand the field dynamics and support my teammates effectively. As a college soccer player, I am eager to improve not only my skills but also contribute to the growth of my teammates. Despite my passion for soccer, I prioritize my grades and academic performance, as maintaining eligibility is crucial for me to continue playing the sport I love.
As a student-athlete with a passion for both soccer and track, I have dedicated countless hours to honing my skills and pushing myself to excel both on and off the field. Soccer has been an integral part of my life since a young age, and I continue to play with immense passion. Additionally, in my 9th-grade year, I discovered a new passion for track and have since worked tirelessly to improve in this individual sport while maintaining a team mindset. I believe that being a two-sport athlete has shaped my character, work ethic, and values, making me a versatile person both on and off the field.
Looking ahead, I am interested in majoring in Sports Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, or Architecture, aligning my academic pursuits with my passion for sports. While I currently don't hold any rewards, I am determined to earn awards during the 2023-2024 seasons for track and soccer. I also take pride in helping my peers with academics to support them in overcoming grade requirements. My commitment to sports and academic excellence makes me a potential candidate for your program, where I hope to continue my athletic and personal growth.
My ultimate dream is to play college soccer and, if possible, go pro. What sets me apart from other athletes is my unwavering work ethic and determination to achieve higher goals. I continuously strive to be a harder worker than others, aiming to reach the top of my game. I believe that my perseverance and strong work ethic, especially demonstrated during my sophomore year in Track & Field, distinguish me from other student-athletes. I faced challenges, celebrated wins, and endured tough losses, but I never lost sight of my team's support and my desire to keep pushing forward and improving.
As I look towards the future, I seek a college that aligns with my values and can support both my academic and athletic endeavors. My commitment to giving my best, both on the field and in the classroom, drives me to find a school with like-minded individuals who share the same dedication and determination. I am excited about the opportunities ahead and the potential to make a significant impact both athletically and personally in college.
