For as long as I can remember, I have loved football and have been playing since I was in 2nd grade. There have been other sports I have played in the past like basketball, baseball and karate, but football is my passion. I want to continue playing football in college and I want to be at a school with a team-oriented football program and lots of tradition. I consider myself a versatile player on the field. I have been a quarterback most of my football career, but last year I ran as a wide receiver and discovered it is another position on the field I excel at. With my skill set I can read the field; and my speed and agility provide me with everything I need to be a play maker.
In school I have maintained a 3.35 GPA, to include a couple college level classes. Though proud of my accomplishments on the field and in the classroom, I am most proud of my work ethic. In the off season, I’m a sprinter on my high school track team. This year I was a competitor at the section and conference finals level and received the MVP of Sprints award for my season record times and voted as a Captain for next season. When I’m not in the gym for strength and conditioning, I’m working with a personal sports performance trainer two nights a week, all while also working a part time job.
This makes for a busy life, but has given me the ability to learn great time management which will help in college. I believe that a leader is defined by the choices he makes. Strong Morals, hard work, loyalty, and persistence in the face of adversity have shaped my life.
