miguel escalera '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

    My name is Miguel Escalera. I am currently attending Glencoe High School, and will be graduating in 2019. Track is my passion and I know that it takes hard work and dedication on and off the track in order to be successful. One of my best and favorite events is the 1500m.This is my first year in track and I've been working hard every day to make my personal record goal, which is a 4:20 for a 1500, my personal record so far for my 1500 is 4:26 and I know that in my next meet i will reach that goal.

    I am always ready and willing to listen to my coaches' advice and follow it to the best of my ability. I have a strong work ethic and always make sure that I pull my weight for my team. I am a student first, and make sure my grades are where they should be before I do anything else.

    I believe I would be an excellent candidate for a collegiate team because of my work ethic, I am encouraging to my teammates, and thoroughly enjoy competing as a runner. It would be an honor to be chosen to run for a professional team in college.
